The joint Admission matriculation board (Jamb) has announced that it cut-off mark for gaining admission into tentiary institution in Nigeria to be 140.
This improvement was Made known to the public during a press release by the jamb registrar Mr oloyede making this more easier for students with low mark to gain admission.
The JAMB registrar revealed that only 378,639 of the 1,761,338 who wrote the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) scored 200 and above
According to the registrar this is a very poor percentage if consider to be given admission and that would cause alot of school dropout and also create or discourage student t attend school.
Meanwhile the Academic staff union of universities are still on the ongoing strike without any news of calling it off while students keeps on writing exams to gain entrance..
According to scholars this new development by jamb will Only create more lazy students as many students won’t mind to study hard anymore, bringing down the educational system of the country.
